Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Web Install Instructions

1. Click Run after the SQL Server download is complete.

2.  Click Run when the security warning comes up.

3. Click New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation.

4. The Setup Support Rules screen will appear. If any operations failed, click Re-run. If 0

operations failed, Click Ok.

5. Click Next.

 6. Check “I accept the license terms.” Then click Next.

7.  Click Install.

8.  The Setup Support Files progress screen will appear. When progress is complete, the Setup

Support Rules screen will appear. Click Re-run if any operations failed. If operations are

successful, click Next.

9. Click Select All.

10.  Click Next.

 11. Check Named Instance and click Next.

12. Click Next.

13. Click the Account Name drop down. Click NT Authority\System on Account Name. Click Automatic on Startup Type. Click Next.

14. Click Mixed Mode.

15. Enter your database password and confirm password. This is the password to access the

Windent Platinum database. It is important to remember this password, as the password is

used again during database setup later in the installation instructions. If you do not remember

this password, we will not be able to recover the password, and the installation will need to be

removed and restarted.

16. Click Add Current User. Click Next.

17. Click Next.

18. Click Next.

19. Click Install. The Installation Progress screen will appear.

20. The Installation Progress screen will appear.

21. Click Next.

22. Click Close. Exit the SQL Server Installation Center.
